Ok hmmm should I put up a warning for this?

Anyway, just watched 2 movies online (good thing too >>) and thought I'd share my 2-cents. Said movies are Clash of the Titans and New Moon (Ok this is pretty old, still...). Do not read if you happen to like them.

Well anyway, the only reason I'm blogging is because of the disbelief I felt after watching the movie (New Moon to be exact). I have to say, I didn't really have much high hopes for it after watching Twilight 1. But since it's so popular, I thought ok, since I watched 1, not like there're any better movies to watch (besides what I've already watched) anyway so why not?

And well...

See the thing is, I fastforwarded most of the entire movie because frankly, it was rather boring, even though I was already really bored to begin with. >> And when I reached the end, where Jacob was talking to Edward and Bella was in between saying "Nooo don't fight because of meee D:", I thought hey, why not just fastforward till the should-be-rather-cool fight scene? So I did and guess what? I hit the credits.

Apparently, the movie just ended with Jacob running off and Bella looking at him. Yeah. Way to be anticlimatic >>

Really, I seriously can't see why so many people like it so much. I mean I already knew there was no plot and the only attraction is apparently the shirtless guys who are supposed to be hot and probably some cool fighting scenes, but there wasn't. Or at any rate, Jacob was shirtless for most of the movie, but so were all his other buddies, so well, it's not that attractive if everyone looks the same right? And the fighting scenes are seriously too short to be even considered as fighting scenes. The werewolf fight was relatively pretty cool, the vampire one was really rather lame and not much of a fight, more like Edward getting seriously owned.

Oh and all the characters' voices are in monotone. O___o The only interestingly voiced person is the head vampire so he's the only character I like in the entire movie. The sister was ok too, but well, just ok. I like the dad. So out of the entire movie, I only like the head vampire and the dad.

Well anyway, now let's review Clash of the Titans.

I don't know, I found it pretty similar to Twilight. The plot was really rather screwed up, the colours were as monotone as the Twilight voices, and again, I can't understand why so many people pay good money to watch it. But the plus side is, at least the ending wasn't that bad, at least it's like an ending, or at least I knew it was going to end.

Well, this movie's rather action based, but the action is really errr.... not as cool as it could have been. Many parts are too close or too fast to see what's going on, the fights against the creatures weren't interesting either.

Oh and Zeus didn't look like Zeus. More like King Arthur actually OO

But then again, if you like to see Godzilla take over Tokyo or giant spiders take over New York, then maybe this movie is considerably pretty good.

Ok some spoilers.

I guess one of the funny things is, the story is so completely different from the actual greek methology, I was pretty surprised at some parts. Especially when Perseus dumped Andromeda for Io? I was like, what? But then again, this is much more understandable considering they made Io follow Perseus through the entire thing and he only met Andromeda once (and got slapped by a nearby guard>>) but man! The fact that he rejected Andromeda(who he rescued and was younger than him) to get with Io(who was there before he was born and could in ways be considered as a grandmotherly figure) makes me happy :)

The fact that Andromeda's mother was played by this actress who acted as Mrs Otterbourne in Poirot's Death on the Nile makes me happy too :)

Yeah, that's about it.

This Hades was definitely not as cool as the Disney one.

Well, the Titans are clashing now. Zeus is probably not very happy about my review... maybe I should amend it... okok, Zeus is good. Zeus is the only thing I like about the entire movie, how's that?

Ok, not working. :\ Oh well, he'll get over it.

Sigh, I'm not very happy today. The stupid dentist messed up my daddy's teeth so now he has two aching teeth instead of one. >( Looks like profits win over duty again.

Ah but who am I to complain? This is why dentistry and medicine are the most sought after degrees is it not?

Ace Attorney is cool and all, but it gets boring and repetitive after a while. Like after 3 hours and it's still going on. >>

It's funny not to write about MGS here. This blog is after all about my life, and MGS is my life. Too bad nobody knows about it in Singapore. >>

I just realised my blog can be summarised in a bundle of tweets. Perhaps it's because I write in long sentences for everything formal that results in simplicity here.

Good artists should update their blogs more! D: Especially good MGS artists.

People should draw more MGS art. :\

Due to all the great art I see around, I'm starting to like Assassin's Creed. Even though I've never played it. But I don't think I should commit to another fandom, MGS is enough.

And XS too but sadly, XS is now a thing of the past. :(

Why the producers didn't want to sell season 2 and 3 when there's season 1 is beyond me. After all, season 3 is the best drawn and most interesting season. And the last episode of season 1 is a cliffhanger. >>

For some reason, I never dare to search my favourite fandoms on DA. Maybe it's because of all the crappy and ... weird... art out there.

But MGS is different.
It's already weird.

I haven't ran for a long time. Should go running tomorrow.

I can't believe I ate KFC the other day. :/ No more fast food for me for a month I swear.

Except fish burger at Mcs. That's different.
And basic hamburger. Really they're actually very healthy if that's all you're having for dinner. oo

Except Raiden. For some reason, I don't even like the cyborg ninja remake of him. Guess he just rubs me the wrong way. :\

ANYWAY! Thought I should start this post with something fun! :D Like a list of things I plan to do with this blog and with my lj.

FIRST! I'm using proper english for this. Yes that's right. So proper it's scary. And if you noticed, I actually begin each sentence with a capital letter! Wow! And I don't use shortforms no more. Except lj....Ok fine livejournal are you happy now.

Main reason, train my righting skills. Liek seriously I don't want my granma to degenerate just beecourse I've stopped learning GP.
